Art for Heart believes increasing the diversity within the arts industry comes in two parts and all of our projects are based on that philosophy. Part one is combating the resource gap when it comes to arts education and supplies. Part two is providing underrepresented artists with a platform, both digital and physical, where they gain exposure and earn income through sharing their creations. Metaphorically, it’s not about getting a seat at the table, but it is about building more tables.
Artivist Rising is an arts mentorship program that runs in summer. We provide free art kits to participants and connect local artists to low income, refugee, and homeless youth in order to foster creative spirit through arts instruction.
Art Vision is an interactive arts auction featuring pieces done by diverse rising artists. No ticket is necessary, however donations are much appreciated. All donations go towards the artist’s income.
The Artivist Market is a local arts market held near universities. The goal of the Artivist Market is to foster appreciation of local art through selling cost effective prints and merchandise catering to the younger population. Majority of sales will go towards the artist’s income.
The Artivist is an bi-monthly digital arts publication that sparks intellectual and deeply engaging conversations on prominent social issues. Although no purchase is necessary, donations are much appreciated. All donations go to the artists and the social justice partner organizations who have contributed to the development of the Zine.
